San Diego branch of AV rated insurance coverage and litigation firm has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant. To be considered, candidates must have at least 2 years experience working as a legal secretary, and should be highly skilled/proficient in the following areas:

• Strong interpersonal and verbal skills
• Exceptionally organized
• Able to anticipate and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
• Excellent computer skills (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of and experience with filing/e-filing (State and Federal)
• Working knowledge of court rules and procedures (State and Federal)

Job duties include:

• Preparing, drafting and formatting legal documents;
• Filing/e-filing documents with the court;
• Scheduling and calendaring of court dates and other deadlines;
• Maintaining the attorneys’ calendars;
• Scanning and electronically archiving documents.
