We are a growing business litigation and white collar criminal defense firm located in Downtown Los Angeles. We are seeking a detailed-oriented and highly motivated litigator who is licensed to practice in California and is in good standing with the State Bar of California.
This is a part-time position approximately 20 hours a week to start with the opportunity for more hours over time. This position primarily involves conducting research, conducting discovery, and drafting motions in Los Angeles Superior Court.
We are seeking candidates who have the following skills and experiences:
1) Demonstrated experience drafting substantive briefs in connection with business litigation matters (e.g. breach of contract, unfair competition, and trade secret violations). This does not include issues relating to IP or employment law.
2) Experience with matters involving construction and real estate litigation is preferred but not required.
3) Strong writing skills, including drafting successful dispositive motions (e.g., motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, oppositions to motions for summary judgment).
4) Strong legal research skills.
5) Experience responding to discovery and negotiating with opposing counsel.
