We are looking for legal help with an issue against the United States Government, the Army and Air Force in particular. Our family has owned some property since the 1890's. IN 1941 the Army came in and said they needed the property for a military base. We were able to, in Superior Court, retain the mineral rights to our property, with the understanding we will be permitted to drill for the oil contained on said property five (5) years after the World War II ended. It has been one hassle after another trying to access our oil rights. Lately we feel it might be best for the government to assume the mineral rights. In contacting various agencies, the answer as been no. They already use the top of the land why should we get just payment for our mineral rights.
