Front/Back office duties.
Talented, experienced medical assistant needed for our medical practice in Los Angeles. Position will assist in back and front office. Medical assistant will provide support in both the back and front office on busy patient days.
Applicant must function at a high capacity in fast-paced environments, be able to prioritize tasks, and have great communication skills as well as be experienced in general back-office patient care. Applicant must be a self-starter who gives their best in whatever they do. Good computer skills and spelling are a plus.
Duties will include:
Setting up for and assisting in procedures
Stocking rooms
Answering Phones
Making files
Obtaining Authorizations
Checking Insurance Benefits
Scheduling and Confirming Appointments
Describing Treatment Plans to Patients
Acting as a Liaison Between the Doctor and the Patient
Personal injury and/or WC experience is a plus.
Other Administrative Tasks
Minimum 1 year experience in a Medical Office. Experience with authorizations and administrative tasks is preferred but not required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Preferred applicant will be a self-motivated team player who is looking to take on responsibility and grow with the practice. Part time.
