We are a high-end luxury integration company with +25 years of experience with current position oppenings in our estimation department. We are seeking an Estimator Assistant to join our team! The Estimator Assistant will work closely with our Estimator to support the estimating process for our drapery and soft treatment estimation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in blueprint reading and comprehension, pricing and estimation skills, and order processing and preparation. Experience in drapery or soft treatment workroom, design internship, or experience with fabrics is preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Maintain & cultivate professional relations with other trades, suppliers/vendors, contractors & clients.
• Read and respond to e-mails regarding window treatments and lighting to provide support to clients, vendors, company’s project managers and sales department to win projects.
• Follow-up on past bids via phone calls/e-mails.
• Manage estimation deadlines and prioritize high demand projects set by Estimation Manager.
• Perform project take-offs from plans and/or job notes.
• Gather and document vendor/supplier quotes to support estimation costing.

• Create and quality review estimate prior to submitting all estimates to sales department and/or
Estimation Manager for review.
• Generate change orders as provided by Project Managers if needed.
• Provide all supporting documentation to the projects department when project is awarded.
• Issue & attend company project hand-off meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors.
• Maintain bid documentation and e-filing.
• Understand scope of work to bid and ensure timely completion of estimate.
• Adhere to all established estimating standards and protocol to protect the interests of the Company
and seek out opportunities to improve methods, processes, procedures, and suppliers to best benefit
the company.
• Achieve estimation company quarterly & yearly goals.
• Review estimation reports with Estimation manager to ensure accuracy.
• Continue product training as needed.

SKILL QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge and understanding of window treatments.
• Excellent oral, written, and communications skills in English.
• Understanding of profit and loss.
• Strong ability to read and understand construction plans, “blueprints”, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Workroom coordination experience.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks & CRM systems, project estimating and scheduling programs.
• Highly organized and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent math skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of general office procedures.
• 2-3 years in customer service.
