Starting Pay: $25.00-29.00/hour, based on experience.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: (Summary of job duties)
Assist the Credit & Collection Supervisor in carrying out the functions of the department. Interface with other departments in conjunction with all required documentations related to processing of deductions and credit memo. Review, process and resolve customer deductions and credit memos in timely manner. Review, process and resolve accrual related customer deductions in timely manner. Periodic processing of A/R over and under adjustments as well as sample write off. Prepare deduction report on a periodic basis. Back up coverage for Credit and Billing Specialist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analyze and determine nature of all deductions and resolve issues in timely manner.

· Review, analyze and process of accrual related deductions as assigned by department’s supervisor.

· Monitor customer accrual program funds as it relates to customer deductions.

· Process approved accrual related deductions to rebate journals in timely manner.

· Ensure accurate posting of approved deductions to rebate journals.

· Process all credit memos daily, if any.

· Review, analyze & resolve issues associated to credit memos in timely manner.

· Interface with Customer Service, Sales, Warehouse, Traffic, and Pricing on issues that impact credit, i.e. order processing/invoicing, credit memos, pricing, rebates, allowances, contract pricing, returns, inventory, sales and marketing programs/new accounts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Well-organized, methodical thinker with excellent decision-making skills. Understanding of basic accounting principles required. Knowledge of credit principles and credit law a plus. Must be experienced working with computers and have the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions. Must be proficient in excel, word and other Microsoft office products. Self-starter, well organized with ability to prioritize workload and work independently and effectively in a multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and organization. Must have hands-on experience performing customer account analyses and reconciliation.
