Poly Performance and Synergy Manufacturing are related corporate entities under common ownership. Poly Performance is an industry leader in the on-line parts distribution of performance off-road vehicle parts and accessories. Synergy Manufacturing is an industry innovator and manufacturer of high-end automotive performance components. Both companies reside in a shared 40,000+ sq/ft facility located in San Luis Obispo, California. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as CFO / Controller of both Companies. This position will report directly to the CEO of both Companies.

Job Description:
Poly Performance and Synergy Manufacturing is looking for a dynamic, talented, experienced and extremely motivated individual to manage all accounting functions for our leading parts distribution and manufacturing companies. We are looking for someone who has experience in developing the financial controls and human resources infrastructure for a dynamic, fast-moving company. This person must have an affinity for cutting edge technology and processes as well, as both Companies are highly dependent on leveraging new systems and technology as it relates to both on-line retail distribution and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will report directly to the owner/CEO and provide leadership and coordination of financial reporting and human resources management. They will manage working capital and employees in a productive and efficient manner. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining conformity to generally accepted principles and legal / regulatory guidance as it pertains to human resources management.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Lead, direct and coordinate the actions of the accounting / finance department.
2. Manage monthly general ledger closing process to ensure financial reports are completed in a timely, accurate and complete fashion, including monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
3. As directed by the CEO: develop an annual budget and analyze results versus budget and prior year. In addition, prepare dynamic forecasting as required by the CEO for changes to business plan, operating environment or general economic factors.
4. Develop key performance metrics for regular monitoring of financial performance.
5. Act as liaison with outside accounting / auditing professionals for both tax return preparation and audit for insurance providers.
6. Manage day to day banking requirements and improve current treasury processes to include daily cash control and fraud monitoring activities as well as ensure monthly bank reconciliations are completed.
7. Manage the accounts payable function ensuring vendors are paid in a timely manner while achieving best vendor discounting terms.
8. Manage the accounts receivable function ensuring that: aged accounts are actively managed and collection policies are in place; inter-company transactions are properly accounted for and credit transactions are properly applied to customer accounts.
9. Manage the payroll function for both companies including regular payroll processing, IRA contribution / matching deposit processing, new hire on-boarding and terminations. Review quarterly payroll tax reporting submissions.
10. Develop and oversee system of internal controls with a mindset of continuous improvement.
11. Manage preparation of quarterly sales tax reporting information.
12. Manage preparation of regulatory reports as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience:
-5+ years of financial management experience
-5+ in a supervisory role
-CFO / Controller or public accounting experience managing or auditing growth companies

-Strong inventory management and cost accounting skills
-Knowledge of NetSuite and IQMS is highly desirable
-B.S. in Accounting and CPA license desired, however equivalent business experience may be necessary.
-System conversion experience strongly desired
-Strong MS Office and Google Mail/Drive skills
-Experience with payment processing vendors such as PayPal, Amazon, and Google Checkout strongly desired
-Experience in a multi-company environment with inter-company transactions is strongly desired
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
