**This is a hybrid remote position, with weekly requirements for on-site presence (dependent upon Covid impact and protocols). Candidates must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to commute to the EO Campus in San Rafael for 1-2 days on site in the office per week. The location of candidates will be taken into consideration during the candidate review process.**

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for all daily accounts payable transactions, and for ensuring that payables are entered correctly. This team member acts as the first line of communication for vendor bill and payment inquiries and keeps the Controller up-to-date regarding vendors that reach out to EO.

The Accounting Assistant is additionally responsible for assisting the accounting department with filing disputes for manufacture chargebacks. The Accounting Assistant may also be tasked to assist with various projects related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting and administrative duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable

  • Utilize MineralTree software integration to manage entry of all accounts payable. Ensure MineralTree and NetSuite sync properly and that approval workflows are set and reviewed regularly
  • Create new vendors in NetSuite
  • Ensure all vendors submit a W-9
  • Work with the receiving team to resolve incorrect or missing receipts.
  • Correspond directly with vendors; responsible for the day-to-day oversight and communication generated by the EP AP email inbox
  • Manage allocations for Echo, Heritage and temp agency bills
  • Manage requests for resale certificates
  • Ensure that all accounts payable invoices are properly entered at month-end.
  • Manage inventory received not billed, returns not credited (vendor return authorizations) and vendor deposits
  • Book monthly accruals during close
  • Assist in preparation of audit requests as needed
  • Additional projects and/or accounting-related tasks as assigned. May include future support of A/R



SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (completed or in progress)
  • 1-2 years Accounts Payable accounting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with database systems and software programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • Proficiency with database systems and software programs strongly preferred



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to work on a computer for a prolonged period of time.


GENERAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is hybrid in terms of remote and on-site work. On-site work required at the EO Products campus is in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
