Luxxbox is a small/medium, family-owned design focussed business based in our new facility in Northern Petaluma, just off the 101. Luxxbox makes beautiful, highly awarded designer lighting products for the workplace that are shipped across North America and worldwide. Our business in North America is growing and we need to add additional members to our team.
We are a low-order volume, high-value business with products that are made to order. As a company Accountant, you will work with a caring and skilled team of about 20 staff to help us along on our journey to greatness.
Duties include payroll/HR functions via Paychex, AR and AP, bank recs, financial reporting via spreadsheets, management reports, cash flow, some order and vendor management, and general Accounting functions as required.
We use Xero for our accounting along with a customized ERP system for Invoicing and purchase orders.

Responsibilities
• Payroll/HR recording via Paychex
• Invoicing
• Post various journal entries
• Perform bank account reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet accounts reconciliations
• Maintain a fixed asset schedule
• Prepare regular financial reports
• Review and ensure expenses are posted accurately
• Process AP, and expense report payments
• Prepare payments reconciliations and notify the operations team of the discrepancies for corrections
• Maintain Sales performance report
• Conduct accounting orientation for new employees
• Support and assist the operations team and internal departments with various accounting questions and requests
• Assist in Ad hoc reports and projects as needed
• Additional duties as are assigned

Requirements
• 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong grasp of GAAP Standards
• Excellent spreadsheet and reporting skills
• Experience with Xero is a plus, but similar programs like Quickbooks are also OK.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• A self-starter, team player, and quick learner
• A great person who loves working with a small, close team.
