We are currently looking for two wonderfully talented and dedicated teaching artists. One would be a lead instructor; proficiency in musical theatre techniques; vocal technique, dance/choreography, and acting technique. This person would lead their own camp weeks after training, teach musical theatre, and facilitate the end of camp showcase. The second person we are looking for is an assistant/instructor. This person would be assisting the lead instructor for most of the summer with the exception of two weeks towards the end of summer where they would become the lead instructor for two camps.
Camps do fill up, we cap them at 15 students each. This is most likely the number of students you would be teaching or assisting. Students range from 3 years to 12 years, but most of our kids are between 5-10 years old. Each week of camp has a musical theatre theme. I.e. Mulan, Singing in the Rain etc. Students each get a role at the beginning of the week and work each day til the end of camp showcase which is about a 15 minute performance for friends and family. We have so much fun!
Camps run every week from June 19-August 18th, except the week of July 4th. Not all dates are required, but they are preferred.
We have locations in Torrance and Long Beach, you may be required to be at either location.
Pay is $26-28/hour DOE for lead instruction and $22/hour for assistance and it is a 10-99 contract.
