Job Description:
As a Private Tutor, your role will be to teach various high school subjects, whether it’s SAT Math & Reading, AP Exams, and/or specialized topics such as AMC10/12/AIME, Math & Science Olympiads, or humanities competitions. We envision this as a long-term contract role where you’ll have plenty of opportunities toward helping students fulfill their academic goals and dreams. The work is flexible and 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach high school students standardized test preparation (SAT’s, AP’s, SAT Subject Tests, AMC10/12/AIME, Olympiads) given your subject of expertise
• Prior experience in teaching is a must with a degree preferably in the chosen field
• Identify weak points in a student’s thinking and customize your teaching to the student to break down tough questions into digestible concepts.
• Flexible work schedule and 100% remote work
• Use Zoom and other technology tools to provide crystal clear instruction and feedback
• Willingness to learn topics that you may be unfamiliar with and desire to go above and beyond to research such concepts and topics
• Passionate about education and teaching
• Willingness to learn and take initiative to improve quality of instruction
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
• High degree of excellence and attention to detail in delivery of work
• Quickly respond to emails and requests as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Honest, open dialogue, including acknowledging mistakes when they occur and learning from them to continually improve one’s quality of work
