Join LIFT Enrichment as a Chef Teacher where you can teach healthy culinary workshops to students at low-income schools. It’s a fun and rewarding job where you can help students learn a key life skill: learning to make easy and healthy meals!
Expectations
Each day, Thursdays / Mondays / Friday, you will be paid for 5 hours to teach two workshops at a site. ($200 per visit) sites start at 2:00pm-5:00pm, includes at-home prep, arriving on-site, teaching and cleanup.

Teach fun recipes like Pasta with Zucchini and Bell Peppers, Black Bean & Spinach Quesadilla with Pico de Gallo, Whole Wheat Grilled Cheese with Broccoli Slaw, Crispy Chicken Tenders with Mixed Green Salad
Transport a culinary kit we provide to each site
Complete reimbursements forms for ingredients purchased each week
Requirements:
Availability from 2pm-6pm, Thursdays / Mondays / Friday
Must have reliable transportation
Clean background check to work with schools
Covid vaccination
Experience working with kids: i.e. summer camp counselor, retired teacher, etc.
Experience cooking at home: i.e. you can cook basic meals (no formal or professional chef experience is required)
This is a great fit for someone who is a retired teacher or a student in college that's pursuing a teaching degree. Each workshop involves 1 instructor leading a group of 15-20 students that are elementary or middle school students in low-income areas. This is not a good fit for someone who is looking for full-time work.
