Part of my communications practice is devoted to helping people cut through red tape, and expedite claims with grievances in the healthcare systems, government agencies, and other downsides of the real world. I help people summarize complex claims and grievances either to prosecute themselves, or take to a law office for elevated action. I am NOT an attorney, but have associations with some Bay Area law offices. If a situation becomes over my head, I don't hesitate to refer the client to one of them for representation. After phone interviews and research, I furnish you with a written summary of your needs, grievances and claims, to help try to get you “into the system” for the services you need. I’m a professional communications counselor in Oakland-Berkeley, and most of my work lately has been helping people who’ve been victimized by the legal or healthcare system. Fees vary between $75-100 hr. depending on the nature of the client and service. If your need is beyond my realm, I’ll refer you to a public agency or law office. You pay me to do research, make calls, & manage email correspondence on your behalf. The model is by retaining me for 3-4 hours of my time, you save money off of intro legal meetings, or time wasted trying to get healthcare services.
