Village Bloom Child Development Center, a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool is located in Encinitas, California. We are hiring 3 teachers for a June and August start date.
These educators must be dependable, organized, dedicated to children, highly motivated, have an understanding of early childhood development, and ideally, but not necessarily some familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and play-based learning. Village Bloom is a team-oriented environment with a strong focus on social/emotional development. We value building a sense of community with the families of our school. Candidates must possess a positive attitude, resilience, flexibility, sense of joy, and love of working with young children.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:·
Attend weekly team meetings·
Send daily updates to families via Brightwheel, a communications app·
Conduct 2 parent teacher conferences during the school year·
Create learning environments based on the children’s interests and the Reggio Emilia philosophy·
Maintain positive, professional and transparent communication with children, families and staff·
Observe and record children's social, emotional growth and development for their portfolios·
Candidates must have:
BA in Child Development or similar degree·
At least 12 approved early childhood education credits·
Experience working in a preschool setting, 2-3 years minimum experience required.·

Job Type: Contract
Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

License/Certification:
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
