$15.00 per hour
10-14 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00 am -12:00 pm.
The Learn & Discover Preschool services children ages 2-5 in a warm and caring child care home. We are currently looking for a teacher's assistant to help run our half-day morning program. Responsibilities will include supervising children, helping to implement lessons and activities, food preparation, changing diapers, and general cleaning (dusting, sweeping, classroom maintenance).
In order to qualify for this position, the employee must:
• be 19 years or older and be punctual and dependable
• must have professional and/or personal experience caring for children
• have a professional manner and be outgoing and friendly with parents.
• be flexible and available to substitute for other teachers (during the 8:00-12:00 time slot).
• be willing to get messy with art projects and also spend several hours each day outdoors
• (upon hire) complete CPR/First Aid and on the job mandatory (paid) training.
• be vaccinated with the most recent Flu and Covid-19 vaccines, and obtain a negative TB test
