Established in 2015, Cooperage Brewing Company is an independently-owned brewery located in Santa Rosa, CA. We are currently in a phase of growth and are looking to hire a Beer Sales Representative.

A Sales Representative at Cooperage Brewing is expected to be energetic, proactive, goal-oriented, and most importantly, passionate about beer. Sales Reps are responsible for increasing overall sales and consumption, enhancing brand presence and awareness within their assigned territory. Occasionally, they may be required to work at festivals and other events within, and potentially outside of, their home market. If you are interested, please email your resume and cover letter.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising, and promotion of brewery products.
Manage a sales territory and take responsibility for all activities within the geographical boundaries of both on-premise and off-premise accounts.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key on and off-premise accounts.
Communicate consistently and frequently with each account in the assigned territory.
Monitor accounts for inventory and aging beer issues.
Develop new accounts.
Provide education through staff training, tasting notes, etc.
Represent Cooperage Brewing at beer festivals, industry events, tap takeovers, in-store tastings, etc.
Follow all company SOPs, guidelines, policies, and safety procedures.
Provide weekly reports and updates to the Sales Manager.
Assist in merchandising Cooperage products in assigned chain stores on a weekly basis, as well as attending the regularly scheduled resets at these stores.

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Sales Rep does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.
Special Requirements:

Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, nights, and/or weekends.
Must have a valid driver's license, current insurance coverage, and a clean driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent time management skills, as well as the ability to be proactive and take initiative.
Excellent organization and coordination skills. Must have the ability to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently.
Must possess interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to bring others together and reconcile differences, as well as the ability to influence others' decision-making.
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in meeting sales goals.
Social perceptiveness - being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl, or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and be able to move kegs, which weigh close to 165 pounds.
High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of the product. AND/OR Extremely close visual attention, such as making delicate adjustments to control high-speed operations to exercise very precise muscular control.
Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, potential for physical injury, exposure to hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud most of the time.
