We are looking to add an experienced Demand Generation Manager to our active Marketing department. This is a new role for our company so it’s imperative that this individual has not only have experience in this area but also the desire to help build and structure this role. The Demand Generation Manager will set and execute a strategy for demand generation across the company by working cross-functionally with various teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B Marketing, a deep understanding of the sales process, and strong analytical and communication skills.

The preferred location for this role is San Diego, CA. However, remote applications within the United States will be considered. Local candidates will generally work a minimum of one day in the office per week.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Help create a brand communications strategy and content plan, including blogging, social media, sponsored content, web content, digital ad messaging, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Lead content development strategy to target consumers throughout the customer lifecycle. Produces high-quality, informative content including thought leadership editorials, contributed articles, press releases, blog posts, videos, presentations and other related materials for websites, blogs, social media channels, industry publications and other third-party channels.
  • Create, manage, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, social, inbound marketing, email, mail/print campaigns and events to drive customer acquisition.
  • Create impactful nurture programs to drive new leads and improve conversion rates from leads to opportunities.
  • Own the marketing automation platform to manage customer communications and nurture leads.
  • Design automated campaigns to support customer journey maps for both direct and partner journeys.
  • Manage and scale our webinar program.
  • Manages our CRM and Marketing Automation efforts in Microsoft Dynamics and Marketo.
  • Manages integrations such as ZoomInfo, GoToWebinar and WordPress.
  • Works with Sales team to manage integration between theCRM and inbound technology solutions.
  • Builds out and improves marketing automation processes, lead scoring, and sales enablement tools.
  • Produce landing pages, email templates and web forms for marketing and demand generation campaigns and programs.
  • Analyze industry trends, market conditions and competitors’ marketing tactics to identify new opportunities.
  • Measures and reports on the success of demand generation campaigns, using metrics such as leads, conversions, and revenue.
  • Makes data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns by evaluating pipeline status and health.
  • Works cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales & Customer Success teams to create cohesive demand generation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to team members on demand generation best practices and tools.
  • Manage agency and contractor relationships, expectations, and budgets, as needed.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company.
Desired Qualifications/Skills
  • Demonstrated success in online lead generation.
  • Demonstrated writing skills, with focus on clear, concise communications to target audience.
  • Experience developing new strategies and managing content for digital marketing and social media channels.
  • Expertise with a wide variety of lead generation tactics, including SEO, email marketing, content marketing, PPC and social media.
  • Excellent verbal communication, business writing, copywriting skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with a knowledge of marketing technologies (CRM, marketing automation, web analytics); html and WordPress a plus.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM software.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience analyzing data and making data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize to manage competing internal and external demands or scheduling changes.
  • Ability to Operate with autonomy and responsibility, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent client and vendor relations skills.
Requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience with B2B online marketing programs, with a focus on lead generation
  • Marketing Automation Experience Required. Marketo preferred.
  • CRM experience required
  • CMS experience a plus
  • Technology or Software Industry related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration or related field preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone

Pay: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
