We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time caregiver to provide support and assistance to a bedridden female 62 y/o individual in Santa Clara, CA. This position is ideal, but not required, for a female caregiver who is fluent in Tagalog, as our loved one would benefit from being able to communicate in their native language. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene routines
- Preparing nutritious meals
- Prompting and organizing medication administration
- Providing mobility assistance, including transferring to and from bed or wheelchair
- Encouraging physical activity and engaging in light exercises
- Assisting with wound care and monitoring for any signs of infection
- Offering emotional support and companionship
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not necessary
- Strong empathy, patience, and understanding towards the elderly and individuals with limited mobility
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the individual, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of first aid and wound care techniques
- Reliable transportation to and from the individual's residence
