As a Community Connections Program Instructor (https://www.cedarslife.org/communityconnections), you will have the opportunity to take clients into the Marin community to provide volunteer work.With patience and compassion you will instruct a small crew of adults with developmental disabilities while they volunteer at places like the Marin Mammal Center, Marin Health Medical Center, The Marin Headlands, and others.

Located in the heart of Marin County, Cedars has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities for more than 100 years. Our person-centered programs nurture creative, productive, joyful, and healthy lives.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide instruction and guidance to individuals when they are volunteering in the community.
-Assist each participant in working as independently as possible and to their full potential, while providing individualized support as is necessary.

Job Requirements:
-Experience working adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
-Experience in leading, advising, organizing, and motivating groups of people.
-The ability to teach and provide skills.
-The ability to manage a crew of clients and work with a team of leaders.
-Clean DMV record and valid CA driver's license.
-The ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
-CPR and First Aid certifications (or the willingness to acquire both).
-An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor are helpful!
