Adams & Marting Group is working with a highly awarded law firm in Del Mar seeking trial paralegals to assist their litigation team with upcoming trials. This position is available as a long-term contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. It is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with awarded attorneys at a top-rated firm. If you are a recent JD pending Bar results and have trial experience, this role could be a great fit. The schedule would be in-office or 4 days in-office and one day remote depending on workload and trial.
-Discovery, including responding to discovery responses and propounding discovery
-Trial preparation: coordination of witnesses and travel, trial exhibits, charts, Drafting and proofreading motions and --pleadings, trial notebooks, subpoenas, and page lines
-Knowledge of state and federal court rules
-Docket deadlines
-Routine communications with clients and attorneys about case status and preparation
-Strategize with attorneys during trial prep
-E-file legal documents in state and federal court
-Assist with document production and management
Litigation Paralegal requirements:
-3+ years of extensive litigation experience
-Trial prep experience is a must
-ABA-Approved Paralegal Certificate or attestation in line with Business & Professions Code 6450
-Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Ability to use Relativity or a similar software
-Strong multi-tasking and organization skills
-Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and a team player!
