We are seeking a EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL Legal Assistant or paralegal to assist in supporting attorneys with applications before USCIS and Immigration Court and maintaining smooth day-to-day working operations for a fast paced immigration practice.
Walking distance to Walnut Creek BART station.
Fluency in BOTH English and Spanish is required. NO CALLS PLEASE.
The right candidate will be responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing and monitoring of pending family-based immigration petitions and applications with USCIS & EOIR.
***A minimum of 2 years of experience in the family based or removal defense immigration preferred.****
Skills and Qualifications:
-MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH AND SPANISH FLUENTLY
-Strong customer skills, and previous experience working with the general public
-Experience submitting applications to and interacting with USCIS, or EOIR in I-485, I-751, I-130, 42B, I-589, N-400, I-765, DS-260 and state court filings for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases
-Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and proactively
-Must be able to execute the entire application process with constant attorney support
-Attention to detail a must
-Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, and work with flexibility and ease under pressure
-Superb organizational and time management skills required
-Ability to keep client information confidential
-Passion for helping clients achieve their immigration status
-Interest in remaining with the firm long term
-Proficiency with computers and general office equipment, Microsoft Word and Outlook
