Health Advocates is seeking a
Third Party Liability Collector I for our main office in
Chatsworth, CA.
Job Summary
The Third Party Liability Collector is responsible for the timely follow up and collection efforts of Personal Injury and Third Party Liability claims. Job responsibilities include: review accounts to determine merit of collection efforts, generate and distribute claims and letters, assist with settlement negotiations, and perform miscellaneous related duties as needed.
Qualifications
•High School diploma or GED equivalent required
•1 to 2 years of collection experience in a collection agency, doctor’s back office, or Personal Injury Law Firm (Third Party collections preferred)
•Knowledge of Med Pay and HIPAA regulations and guidelines helpful
•Basic office skills and computer literacy required
•Must be able to type 30 wpm
Working Title: Case Manager I
Pay rate: $20.00 - $25.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Position Type: Full-time; Non-exempt
Schedule: Alternative Work Week Schedule - Mon-Thur 7:30am-5:00pm & Fri 7:30am-12:30pm
Other:We conduct assessment testing and post offer background checks
