Another Source’s client, UCLA, is recruiting an experienced Treasury Accounting Analyst to join their team in Los Angeles, California. This role will be primarily remote and will need to report to the campus at least once each month. (Internally this position is titled Senior Treasury Accounting Analyst)

UCLA offers a comprehensive compensation and benefit package. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $95,000 per year.

The Treasury Accounting Analyst will be the Treasury Services departments' primary accounting liaison, providing a high level of financial management assistance to departments and business units across UCLA and campuses in the University of California system. The incumbent will develop and manage relationships to facilitate timely accounting entries, fund analysis and financial reporting.

How you can expect your time to be spent:
Provide subject matter expertise and focused accounting analytics toward UCLA's Internal Banking and Treasury initiatives.
Take a lead role in the development, refinement and execution of fund accounting entry and financial reporting processes and policies related to internal and external debt and investment portfolios.
Collaborate with accounting and financial leadership and provide insight to influence action on fund balances and capital structure initiatives.
Represent CFS, with guidance from both FMR and Treasury, in matters related to fund accounting and reporting.


What we would like to see from you:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Working knowledge and familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and demonstrated ability to interpret, model, and create integrated pro-forma financial statements (including balance sheet and statements of cash flow).
Working knowledge and familiarity with GASB and fund accounting principles with demonstrated ability to review general ledger entries in system environment and apply judgement to identify potential errors and interpret key drivers/root cause of financial performance.
Demonstrated curiosity and focus to perform necessary research to find solutions to fund accounting and Treasury accounting issues across campus and UC system units.
Ability to effectively communicate in a credible manner with leadership and staff in writing and in person.
Ability to pro-actively facilitate change and independently prioritize tasks, organize complex workload to accomplish objectives in a timely manner.
Demonstrated self-awareness and ability to build collegial, productive relationships and work across the university and UC system in a collaborative manner.
Ability to adapt, think quickly and execute with the appropriate sense of urgency in time-constrained environments and situations.
Well-developed organizational and time management skills to work on multiple projects and manage priorities with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Advanced applied knowledge Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, with ability to use advanced tools (such as pivot tables, etc.) to create, maintain, and update complex financial models and workbooks to analyze data, create scenarios, interpret findings, and report results; Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Power-Point with ability to use advanced tools and techniques to create informative, persuasive and concise presentation materials appropriate for the target audience.
Demonstrated experience and ability to access reports and data from accounting and other system environments.
