Financial Management Analyst
Salary Range: $10,155 - $12,345 per month, DOQ/DOE
The Marin Municipal Water District is recruiting for a Financial Management Analyst. The Financial Management Analyst is a mid-manager position providing professional support to both the Finance Manager and the Finance Director who are responsible for financial policies and ensuring the long-term fiscal sustainability the District. This position leads complex budgeting and financial reporting functions, performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of fund balances, conducts financial and Districtwide analytical studies and supports risk and treasury management functions.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be a professional with a strong background in budget and finance with a demonstrated competency in maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in conducting financial analyses and supporting complex finance projects such as financial rate studies and fee analyses. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to use independent judgement while following applicable laws in performing core high-level finance and budget tasks in support of the District’s overall goals.
The District: The District is a medium-sized, municipal, water agency with a Board of Directors/General Manager form of government, 240 full-time employees and a $116.1 million combined annual operating and capital budget for FY 2023. Annually, the District delivers water to 190,000 residents and businesses in the central and southern portions of Marin County and has stewardship responsibilities for 21,000 acres of pristine watershed lands on Mt. Tamalpais.
